A friend contacted me a few weeks ago. He said he was nearby and he had something to give me. Apparently, it was a long overdue wedding gift. A trio of common friends gave it to him to give to me since we saw each other often but he kept forgetting to bring it, and I didn't even know he had it. Good thing he did it because it was valid only until May 5! That's this Wednesday! And it was such a precious, precious gift. It was a gift certificate for an executive massage for 2 at any branch of The Spa! Huh!
Once I got a hold of the GCs, I immediately made reservations with The Spa. No guilty feelings for us in leaving JT behind since I timed it with his nap. So last Saturday, my hubby and I went off to their nearest branch. There were hardly any people since it was a weekday. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. The place itself was clean and the ambiance soothing. The hot ginger tea added to that relaxed feeling. There was a short waiting period, though, while they prepared the room. The massage was wonderful and we both drifted to sleep sometime in the middle. All in all, it was a great gift. I'd definitely consider giving it as a gift to a friend or treating ourselves to another session on our anniversary.
Our time together was cut short, though. Several minutes after getting out of The Spa, we were strolling inside the mall when a timely text from our Yaya said that JT is awake and would soon want to nurse. Oh well! We did have a great time.
