Janssen Tyler Tayag was baptized by Rev. Fr. Greg Calix last Nov. 16, 2008, 11:30 am, Sta. Maria Goretti Parish, Pope Pius XII Catholic Center, U.N. Avenue.
We thought JT would be irritable and noisy during the ceremony because when we arrived at the church, he kept crying and crying. Apparently, he just wanted milk and sleep (after burping, with a little milk spit on Daddy's shirt). He slept through the whole ceremony, even when his head was washed with the holy water.
Listed below are JT's godparents. Some were late, understandably, since they came from long distances ... Malabon ... Alabang ... PGH (haha, mga doctor talaga).
Ninongs - Michael Fernandez, Jed Dimagiba, Dr. Dennis Lopez, Dr. BJ Jao, Dr. Rain Lutanco, Dr. Richmond Chang, Dr. Jojo Nalumen, and Dr. Ace Prodigalidad
Ninangs - Ann Tayag, Eariel Dimagiba, Dr. Olive Flordeliza, Dr. Christine Fausto, Dr. Dadah Ranola, Twinkle Bernardo, Dr. Karen Aquino, and Kathy Alvero

Choosing these godparents sure was tough! Sherwin and I are both very friendly so we've met a lot of people through high school, college, medicine proper, clerkship, internship, and residency (in Sherwin's case), plus those in our extracurricular activities. There were a lot we've left out, much to our dismay. Well, we could always have more children :D
After the ceremony, we proceeded to the Penthouse, Manila Teachers Building, U.N. Avenue for lunch c/o Center Table Catering. Here, more guests arrived. It was such a busy, busy day for us that I never really appreciated it until I reviewed the events later that night and seen the pictures.
We were so exhausted afterwards...
I was so touched, seeing all the people gather for JT's baptism ...
...our families ...
... our friends.
Seeing how much we were thought of and how loved we are, we're so thankful for these abundant blessings.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! And for those who weren't able to come, thanks for the warm and wonderful text messages (Meron pang birthdays hehe) :D

Hi Che,

Hello,
It's so nice that a lot of people share your happiness by being there on special occasions like this. Nice pictures!
wow, what a celebration! thanks for sharing it with us here at mommy moments ha!
Che he was baptized a day before Mia's 3rd birthday pala. Oo nga eh! Di mo man lang kinuha isa sa amin ni jose na godparent! Hmpf! Hahaha! Anyway, godparent or not, JT holds a special place in our hearts. Kinakapatid pa rin naman niya si Mia diba? :) So there.
It was indeed a big celebration... mostly, doctors din mga godparents, (libre check up in the future, joke).. Magka-batch siguro babies natin, mine is turning 6 months next week. Goodluck to us.
