This week's theme is Doctor, Doctor Am I Sick?

Aside from his atopic dermatitis, JT has only been sick once. He was almost 3 months old when he caught a cold. It was pretty mild. There was no fever. He only had drippy nose and the occasional cough.
At first we tried using Salinase and a nasal aspirator but it was too traumatic for us, with JT crying and the aspirator not suctioning enough to draw out the snot. Eventually, we had to use a nebulizer. We'd just put him on his rocking chair and he'd just sit there quietly wearing the face mask. He was such a good patient.

#001 - In Fitness And In Health

At 28 years of age, my husband already has high blood pressure. I always say that this was due to his stressful lifestyle AND an obsessive-compulsive personality.

Being an anesthesiologist, he is in charge of watching over the patient while his surgeon operates. If the patient is breathing well, heart rate normal and regular, and his blood pressure within the acceptable range. Who wouldn't develop hypertension with that hanging over your head? Since he couldn't change careers, he started taking anti-hypertensive medications. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to work very well for him, even causing some minor side effects.

So, Sherwin suggested WE try taking Yoga classes. Maybe it'll help him relax and lower his blood pressure, he said. I thought it was a good idea (though I'd rather enroll in a dance class). One, we get to spend some time together. Two, we get some time off as parents and just be husband and wife. Three, we'll both feel good about ourselves and get fit in the process.

We're currently looking at Bikram Yoga Manila since they have a studio near us, their price is cheaper than other offers, and we like their schedule. I'll post updates as soon as we've enrolled!

Booboo...

Hay naku, napakapakialamera ko kasi, nasira ko tuloy ang layout dito. Ang mali ko pa ay hindi ko na-save yung mga changes na in-add ko. So I have to redo everything . I'm halway done pero inaantok na ako ;p Bukas na uli :(

#001 - Caught in the Act

As I've mentioned in my earlier posts, JT seems to be teething. It's that stage of his life (he's 6 months old) where everything looks edible to him. Before he'd just put his fingers in, now everything is fair game. A toy, a blanket, his foot, my hair, anybody's finger. Anything within his reach, anything he can grab, he brings to his mouth. Sometimes if you don't look closely, his hands would stealthily creep towards his mouth. Then if you look straight at him, he'd stop. He doesn't understand NO yet. I read this article that you could do a light pat to show him what not to do. Tried it but didn't work. Oh well, I just have keep a constant eye on him.

I wanted to set aside a day to just talk about my baby, his growth and development, hence this gimmick - Monday Milestones.






Not wanting to leave my husband behind, I thought of this next. Hopefully, I can stick to my own schedule. ;D

Exam Results

Sherwin passed his board exam! Yehey!!! Although the official list isn't out yet, some of his colleagues who are "in-the-know" has already texted him, offering congratulations. Thank You, Lord! Thank you to those who supported and prayed for him.
